Moving to Malta, studying here or just visiting, and looking for a proper reggaeton night? One name keeps coming up: Move it!. It started in December 2016 in Paceville, has been at Gianpula Village since 2017, and in summer 2026 it was the party that drew the biggest crowds at the complex. This guide covers where it is, when it happens, how to get there and what to know before you go.
Where can you hear reggaeton in Malta?
In Paceville, St Julian's nightlife area, plenty of bars and clubs play reggaeton, but the island's big reggaeton night is at Gianpula Village, the largest open-air entertainment complex in Malta. It sits in the centre of the island, between Rabat and Ħaż-Żebbuġ, with several rooms among palm trees. The biggest is the Main Room: an open-air arena with an arched stage, a light show and CO2 cannons.
That's where Move it! happens. To get to know the venue, read our complete Gianpula Village guide.
Move it!, the reference reggaeton party in Malta
Move it! is made for people who live reggaeton: Reggaeton, Dembow, Trap, Afrotrap and Urban from start to finish, with DJs, guest artists, dancers and our mascot.
- From Paceville to Gianpula. We started in December 2016 at Qube in Paceville, every Saturday. In summer 2017 we took the party outdoors to the Gianpula Rooftop, and since 2018 Gianpula has been our home.
- From Marrakech Club to the Main Room. Marrakech Club was the room of our residency and, since 2023, the Main Room has been our usual room.
- XXL editions. In 2026 we opened three rooms at once (Main Room, Marrakech Club and Groove Gardens) up to four times: a reggaeton mini-festival in a single night.

When is the party?
The season runs from spring to September. Usually:
- Saturdays in May
- Sundays in June, July, August and September
- From 22:00 to 04:00
Each season's exact dates are published on our website together with the tickets. If they are not on sale yet, leave your email on the home page and we'll let you know as soon as they are.
